The first thing worth mentioning is that this is Iceland, and EVERYTHING is expensive, and that includes the accommodation! Though it has to be said that this hotel is a gem for the price!
The first thing I have to mention about this hotel is that it is perfectly located for exploring Reykjavik! Located a short walk from Hallgrímskirkja and close to the centre of town. It meant that we didn't have to walk far from the hotel for tour pick ups, evening meals or just general sightseeing.
The hotel room itself was a dream. Super modern and cosy, the fresh colours and chic decor made the stay super enjoyable. We were also luckily enough to have a pleasant view from our room, even getting a glimpse of Hallgrimskirkja!
This truly felt like the three star hotel it is and more. The staff were more than willing to help with any issues and were incredibly kind and friendly, managing to be engaging whilst still professional!
This hotel has an adjoining restaurant that was always chocker on a night; I'm not sure what the policy was with walk-in's but I'd definitely recommend booking a table! We had breakfast here each morning and not only was it buffet style but it was GORGEOUS.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, even though clearly me and my mam need to work on our photographic capabilities! As it was part of a tour package, I'm not sure exactly how much it was, but booking.com shows it as being roughly £304 for two nights in January- including breakfast.
