The step well was built in the 1740's as a way of collecting water in Jodhpur's desert climate. It has a whole rich history with regards to the caste system in India and it's fascinating to learn about.
These days it's mainly used as a spot to sit and chill during the hot sun or warm evenings. The architecture is simply stunning and it's a gorgeous place to sit and watch the world go by.
