passing out at koh phi phi viewpoint
Updated: Aug 18, 2020
Whilst Koh Phi Phi is predominantly known for its famous white sand beaches and thriving night life, the island is home to some stunning scenery! One of the best ways to see the incredible scenery is through Phi Phi's famous viewpoint.
I got hardly any good photos here - I was super unwell and wasn't focusing much but trust me that the views are stunning!
HOW TO GET THERE
It's signposted throughout the island so it's super easy to find your way there - and if you manage to get lost then you can always look it up on maps.me or google maps!
You'll walk along the causeways around the town until you get to a steep staircase - this is the last but most difficult part.
HOW DIFFICULT IS THE HIKE?
This depends on your definition of difficult - I wouldn't class myself as fit but I made it up to the top with little rest, it only took around 15-20 minutes. If you're not good with stairs I probably wouldn't recommend this!
There are stairs leading all the way to the top, winding through resorts and restaurants so there's plenty of places to stop for a drink either on the way up or the way down. The locals will definitely put you to shame as they sprint up and down the stairs, but don't be afraid to stop when you need to!
Once you've braved the stairs and reached the top you're at view point 1! You pay the entrance fee which I think was something like 30 baht and then you're free to roam the gardens around the viewpoint before making your way to the top to the iconic view point 2.
