kuang si waterfall

Updated: Aug 18, 2020

Pretty much up there listed as one of the top things to do in Luang Prabang and honestly for good reason! I expected this waterfall to be a case of severely edited photos and a total tourist trap, and whilst there was a lot of people there, the waterfalls are the most stunning I've seen in a long time and absolutely worth a trip to!

I got a return trip via minivan which cost £3.50 and the entrance fee was roughly £1.75 so it worked out pretty cheap for several hours, but I'd recommend either trying to group up and share a tuk tuk or splurge and rent one for yourself as you only get around 1.5-2 hours and I was rushing a lot!

There are lots of pools you can take pictures at and swim in which are bloody cold but looked so nice! The main waterfall is right at the top of the trail - it's a fair bit of walking but is barely uphill and totally manageable!
