Skellwith Force Waterfall | The Lake District

Part two of my adventures in the Lake District last week with some friends! We started off at Rydal Caves next to Rydal Water which was a stunning little loop with a few cave areas. We were pretty pushed for time, so headed up the road ten minutes to Skellwith Force to have our little feast of a picnic.

We parked up and set off on the public footpath through some lovely fields alongside the river. We passed the falls and decided to find somewhere to have our picnic first and visit the falls on the way back.

After an unreal feast of a picnic thanks to Em, we set off back up towards the falls. They're a gorgeous waterfall with a big outcropping of rock that's perfect for photos. I managed to get some gorgeous ones of Em and her adorable dog, and some lovely ones of the falls themselves.

I'm literally so excited already to get back over to the Lakes and do a whole lot more exploring! I think I'll add a little hill walk or two in as well.
